Penn State Announces Ballot Positions
For 2003 Election Of Trustees By AlumniMarch 21, 2003
Hershey, Pa. Ballot positions for the 2003 election of trustees by alumni have been determined by a drawing, a procedure established by Penn State's Board of Trustees.Paula R. Ammerman, associate secretary, conducted the drawing and said ballots for the trustee election will be mailed to Penn State Alumni by April 10. All ballots must be returned to the Board of Trustees office by the close of the election at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 15.
The names of the candidates for three positions on the board to be elected by alumni, and the order in which they will appear on the ballot, are as follows (with year of graduation, business title/profession, and place of residence):
- Jonathan L. Wesner, '65, U.S. Judge, Office of Hearings and Appeals, Reading, Pa.
- Robert J. Pilon, Jr., '01, fundraising consultant, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, McLean, Va.
- George T. Henning, Jr. '63, retired vice president-controller of LTV Steel, State College, Pa.
- Joseph A. Cattano, '71, practicing psychotherapist, Freeport, NY
- David R. Jones, '54, consulting editor, The New York Times; retired assistant managing editor of The New York Times and editor of its national editions, Montclair, NJ
- David M. Joyner, '72, '76g, chairman of the board and CEO, Elan Cosmetic Centers, Inc.; orthopedic physician, University Orthopedic Centers, Hummelstown, Pa.
- Anne Riley, '64, '75g, retired English teacher, State College Area High School, Boalsburg, Pa.
