Penn State offers unique educational opportunities for inner city youths.
TYPIFYING those opportunities is the Penn State Educational Partnership Program (PEPP), a collaborative effort with urban school districts. PEPP encourages secondary school students in urban areas who are at risk of dropping out to stay in school. Through PEPP, more than 1,000 Penn State students have worked one-on-one as academic mentors and tutors to improve disadvantaged youths chances for successful employment and postsecondary education.
