Recital And Lecture Schedule Announced

University Park, Pa. -- The College of Arts and Architecture has announced its schedule of recitals and lectures for the week of Sunday, Oct. 12:

-- On Sunday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. Wendy Miller, soprano, and Ervene Gulley, on piano, will present a guest artist recital in the School of Music Recital Hall. Both artists are faculty at Bloomsburg University:

-- On Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. Dawn Kobar, a student of professor James Lyon of the School of Music, will present a violin recital in the School of Music Recital Hall. Kobar will graduate in May 1998 with a bachelor's degree in music education:

-- On Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. the Pennsylvania Quintet, Penn State's faculty chamber wind ensemble, will present a concert at Faith United Church of Christ, 300 E. College Ave., State College. Performing with the quintet will be soprano Susan Boardman, accompanied by Eleanor Duncan Armstrong, flute; Tim Hurtz, oboe; Smith Toulson, clarinet; Lisa O. Bontrager, horn; and Daryl Durran, bassoon:

-- On Thursday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. Washington, D.C., architect Mark McInturff will be the featured speaker at the Department of Architecture's Thursday Night Madness Series in 112 Walker Building. McInturff has won more than 100 design award for residential and commercial projects.

All recitals and lectures are free and open to the public.
