Roenigk To Direct Gift Planning

University Park, Pa. -- Patricia L. Roenigk has been named director of gift planning for Penn State.
For the University's Division of Development and Alumni Relations, she will administer planned gift programs and assist current and prospective givers by providing information on planned gift options, interpreting tax laws and preparing documentation. She will also assist in establishing endowed funds for long-term support of specific University programs, scholarships and other needs.
"Ms. Roenigk brings with her a thorough understanding of charitable tax law and an appreciation for the many ways in which trusts and endowments have helped the University and its benefactors," said Rodney Kirsch, vice president for development and alumni relations. "She is an important addition to our staff and we are delighted to welcome her back to Penn State."
Roenigk most recently was a partner with the State College law firm of McQuaide, Blasko, Schwartz, Fleming & Faulkner Inc. Her duties included charitable gift planning and overseeing the formation and representation of professional and business corporations and partnerships.
She has also served as a lecturer for Temple University's School of Medicine and Penn State's Department of Continuing Education, Office of University Development and Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
She earned her bachelor's degree in pre-law from Penn State in 1980 and a J.D. from the Temple University School of Law in 1984. She was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Bar Association Division of Taxation and the Pennsylvania and Centre County Bar Associations.
