Michael Hecht, professor of speech communication, recently edited Communicating Prejudice (Sage, 1998). The multidisciplinary book presents a new perspective on prejudice. Chapters discuss differing forms and contexts of prejudice, as well as potential interventions. It includes personal narratives as well as discursive styles.

S.K. Majumdar of Lafayette College, E. Willard Miller, professor of geography and associate dean emeritus, and F.J. Brenner of Grove City College are co-editors of Ecology of Wetlands and Associated Systems published by the Pennsylvania Academy of Science.

This volume of 41 chapters is divided into sections that provide a variety of information, including classification and basic ecology of wetlands around the world; wetland environments and ecosystems; special adaptations of plants and animals inhabiting wetlands; the use of wetlands for remediation of pollutants; and national and international perspectives on the value, management and restoration of wetland ecosystems.

Authors of chapters from Penn State are C.R. Bursey, Department of Biology, and Thomas L. Serfass and Robert P. Brooks, both from the School of Forest Services.

Jeffrey K. Pinto, the Samuel A. and Elizabeth B. Breene fellow in management, and Jeffrey W. Trailer, assistant professor of management, both at Penn State Erie, edited the book Leadership Skills for Project Managers, published by the Project Management Institute.
