Commission for Women gives report
on status of women at the University
In a presentation in September before the Board of Trustees, the past chair
of Penn State's Commission for Women said that a commitment of resources
is needed to achieve continued success, as well as more communication among
the entire University community. The commission regularly reports on the
status of women at Penn State.
Student government partners with
borough to repair relations after riot
The newspaper program is one of two fund-raising initiatives. The second
is a joint effort between USG and two Pizza Hut franchises. Both Pizza Huts
in State College will donate 20 percent of the sales made from customers
who buy pizzas with a special coupon between Sept. 24 and Oct. 7. All funds
will be presented to State College borough.
Eberly Foundation gives $5.5 million
to Fayette
Seeking to broaden educational opportunities for residents of southwestern
Pennsylvania, the Eberly Foundation of Uniontown has given Penn State Fayette
$5.5 million for a variety of scholarship and faculty endowments.
