The grass is always greener at Beaver Stadium
Barry Gutshall, a member of the Beaver Stadium grounds crew, has
been cutting grass at the stadium for 37 years. He plans to retire after
this season. Gutshall, shown above emptying containers of grass from his
mower, cuts each blade of grass twice going in opposite directions for each
pass to ensure an even length. The grass clippings will later be mulched
and mixed with other organic materials and recycled.
