The University Faculty Senate on March 30 passed a recommendation to slowly phase in increased employee contributions to the HMO health plans over seven years, instead of five years as was suggested by a recent University task force report
Court stay gives NCAA time to plan
A recent decision by a federal appeals court in Philadelphia temporarily restores the NCAA's freshman eligibility standards, which were thrown out by an earlier lower court ruling. The stay has given the NCAA time to discuss its academic standards, according to University President Graham B. Spanier.
Senior vice president plans to
retire in June
Carol Herrmann, senior vice president for administration, has announced plans to retire from the University at the end of June.
