New students attending the Fall '99 President's Convocation on the University Park campus at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, will be treated to more than President Graham B. Spanier's words of welcome and wisdom. Immediately following Spanier's address at The Bryce Jordan Center, Penn & Teller will take the stage for 75 minutes of magic and comedy.
Both new and returning faculty are encouraged to attend the convocation, which will include presentations from State College Mayor Bill Welch and Undergraduate Student Government President Desha Girod, to help welcome the newest members of the University community. Those in attendance will receive two complementary tickets to the show.
