And they're off

The start/finish line of the State College leg of the Tour De Toona was between Beaver Stadium and The Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus. The women's professional 1-2-3 event, shown above, and the men's professional 1 race were both held on and around the campus on July 28. The race brought bicyclists from around the world to the area, including Sarah Ulmer of New Zealand, right. Ulmer wore the yellow jersey for the race, signaling her status as race leader from the previous day's leg of the six-day event. Other race venues included Altoona, Hollidaysburg and Martinsburg.
