World Campus observes successful inaugural year
Penn State's World Campus is celebrating its first-year anniversary this spring with 500 students enrolled, the introduction of several new programs and accolades from participants and instructors.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson will give a public address in Eisenhower Auditorium on the University Park campus at 8 p.m. Monday, March 29.

Outreach initiative could be model for state
A Penn State Outreach and Cooperative Extension Center will be opened in Lewistown as part of a pilot program University officials hope will become a model for improving lifelong learning opportunities for other areas across the state.

THON breaks record
THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the nation, again surpassed fund-raising goals to benefit families of children with cancer and for cancer research.
