Higher education officials this week issued a report they hope will help
institutions stay in touch with and respond to the needs of society.
No time to waste for municipalities
preparing for Y2K
Lt. Gov. Mark S. Schweiker told municipal officials eager to learn more
about the "Year 2000" computer challenge that they must start
now to build partnerships with community residents, businesses and organizations
to prepare for a possible Y2K crisis.
Projects continue improvements
at campuses
Penn State Beaver recently held a grand opening ceremony for its newly renovated
Brodhead Bistro dining commons, a $1.75 million project that renovated and
expanded the existing 30-year-old dining hall. The project also linked the
dining commons with the Study Learning Center with a 4,000-square-foot connector.
