University is Y2K ready
Penn State is ready for the year 2000 computer
bug, or Y2K -- and while the University may have a few problems associated
with Y2K, the problems will be minor and manageable due to preparations that
began more than a decade ago, according to University officials.
Growth in research programs reported
Penn State research activities and the benefits
these programs bring to the Commonwealth showed continued growth in fiscal
year 1998-99, according to Robert Killoren, assistant vice president for research
and director of sponsored programs.
Commonwealth College plans first
all-faculty meeting
Full-time faculty from all 12 Commonwealth College
campuses will gather at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel on Nov. 19
and 20 for the college's first-ever all-faculty meeting. For a status
