Edwin L. Herr, distinguished professor of education, interim head of the department of adult education, instructional systems, and workforce education and development, and associate dean for graduate programs, research and technology in the College of Education, gave an invited theme speech: "Cost Benefit Analysis in Public Policy on Career Development: An International Perspective," at the 17 Nation Symposium 2001: The Second International Symposium on Career Development and Public Policy in Vancouver, Canada. He also was invited to present "Counseling Outcomes: A Cost Benefit Perspective" at the International Conference -- Celebrating Excellence in Career Development and Counseling at the International Association for Education and Vocational Guidance, also held in Vancouver.  

Paul Kreuger, assistant professor of education, presented "Organizational Learning, Corporate Creativity and Organizational Performance: Strategies for Global Competition" at the 30th International Conference of the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
