to e-business on the University Park campus.

Senate gets
blueprint for education
In its initial gathering of a new millennium, the Penn
State Faculty Senate was presented with a blueprint for education in the
21st century and received an update on the fundraising campaign that will
help meet the new challenges facing the University in the years ahead.
Rao
receives India's
second-highest honor
for civilians
Calyampudi R. Rao, holder of the Eberly Family Chair instatistics
and director of the Center for Multivariate Analysis, has been given an
award titled Padma Vibhushan, which is the second-highest civilian honor
bestowed by the country of India for outstanding contributions to science,
engineering and statistics.
Penn
State Fayette to hold
series of events for
Engineering Month
February is home to National Engineer's Week, and in honor
of that, Penn State Fayette faculty member David Meredith is making February
Engineering Month for the third year in a row.
International
Festival 2001
features variety of events
at University Park
The International Students and Scholars unit of the University
Office of International Programs and the International Student Council
with significant assistance from other organizations including the International
Hospitality Council will co-sponsor the 27th annual International Festival
from Feb. 10-18 on the University Park campus.
