Site of new entrance

rechall2
All that remains of the Rec Hall landscape building, below, is dust and dirt. The building was torn down to make way for the new entrance to the University Park campus off of Atherton Street. Curtin Road will be extended to Atherton Street. The new road will go through the parking lot red E and along the north side of Rec Hall, above.

Ice cream social

University students enrolled in a psychology practicum lead students from Mount Nittany Middle School, State College, through a team-building activity using an ice cream social. The social was part of an all-day workshop on building friendships, dealing with conflict and handling peer pressure. Coordinated by Jeffrey Parker, associate professor of psychology, the workshop was part of a practicum, where University students combined learning and community service. Above: Rachel Biblow hands out labels with items to make a sundae. Next photo, students sort themselves into teams, and bottom photo , is the finished product.
