Exhibit documents broadcasting

ARTS_WPSXexhibitTo highlight the history and successes of Penn State Public Broadcasting, the University Archives is exhibiting "We're on the Air: Educational Broadcasting at Penn State" through Sept. 15 in the Special Collections Library exhibit area, 104 Paterno Library on the University Park campus.

The exhibit features items related to WPSX-TV and its National Public Radio affiliate WPSU-FM, such as historical photographs; programming materials; biographies of University broadcast pioneers -- Arthur Hungerford, Leslie Greenhill, C. Ray Carpenter and Marlowe Froke; posters; and articles.

CPA tickets on sale Sept. 5

Tickets for "Rent," "Cabaret," "Cats" and each of the other 27 events in the Center for the Performing Arts 2002-2003 season on the University Park campus go on sale to the general public at 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5.

Tickets will be available at the Arts Ticket Center at Eisenhower Auditorium and at the information desk on the first floor of the HUB-Robeson Center, or by calling (814) 863-0255 or (800) ARTS-TIX.

Learn to count at
'Sesame Street' shows

"1-2-3 ... Imagine," a "Sesame Street Live" production, will present five shows from Friday, Oct. 11, through Sunday, Oct. 13, at The Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus.

The shows are at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11; 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12; and 1 and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13.

All seats are $10 opening night. Tickets cost $16 and $13 other nights. Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26.
