The Red Cross is operating with a summer shortage of all blood types. Blood drives, like this one at HUB-Robeson Center, are scheduled for these University Park locations: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 15 at The Penn Stater Conference Center; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Hintz Alumni Center; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Leonhard Building. Construction at University Park

Several construction projects are in full swing during the summer at University Park. Among the improvements being made, new lights are being installed in the parking lot behind the west stands of Beaver Stadium. More construction photos by Greg Grieco follow.


New steam lines are being put in across the street from Deike Building on the University Park campus.

The Frank and Sylvia Pasquerilla Spiritual Center construction will include renovations to the Helen Eakin Eisenhower Chapel. The project, which will expand facilities, is expected to be completed in spring 2003.

The Information Sciences and Technology Building construction has entered the "bridge" phase, where construction is taking place above North Atherton Street.
