Shuttle replica lands
at University Park 
Space Shuttle Blake — a 4/10 scale replica of the space shuttle — arrived Saturday, April 12, on the University Park campus for Space Day. The event, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium, combined exhibits related to Penn State research with presentations and hands-on activities for all ages. Participants were able to take a tour of the space shuttle, view a simulated launch and view several exhibits.
Space Shuttle Blake is 42.5 feet long, 16.8 feet high with its tail up, and 27.5 feet wide with its wings open.
