seeks associate dean

Applications are invited for the position of associate dean for graduate studies and research in the College of Communications.

Candidates should have an earned doctorate, outstanding academic and research credentials commensurate with a senior faculty appointment, a strong commitment to the development of graduate education and research in a university setting, a record of university service, and strong interpersonal and management skills.

The associate dean for graduate studies and research will report to the dean of the college and will coordinate with the associate dean for undergraduate studies in those areas where their responsibilities overlap. Candidates for the position should have extensive experience in graduate student teaching, advising and supervision of theses and dissertations; extensive experience with and knowledge of the University promotion and tenure process (which the individual will oversee in the college); and experience in leadership roles, including work with the graduate faculty.
