Jackson to croon country
tunes in Happy Valley

Country singer Alan Jackson will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at The Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus.

Singer-songwriter Joe Nichols is the opening act.

Jackson's recent hit, "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," written in response to the World Trade Tower bombings, won him the Song of the Year and Single of the Year awards at the 36th Annual Country Music Association Awards. He also took home three additional awards including Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Album of the Year for "Drive."

Reserved tickets cost $29.50 and $39.50. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at The Bryce Jordan Ticket Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, select Uni-Marts, the Altoona Campus ticket outlet, by calling (814) 865-5555 or (800) 863-3336, or online at http://www.bjc.psu.edu.

Wristbands will be available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, and from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, for ticket buyers wishing to purchase tickets at the Bryce Jordan Ticket Center only.
