EMS Open House For Prospective Students

University Park, Pa. -- Penn State's College of Earth and Mineral Sciences will hold an open house for prospective students and their families on Saturday, April 4, 1998 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Deike, Hosler, Steidle and Walker Buildings on the University Park campus will be open for the event called EMEX '98.

The public can see demonstrations showing advanced materials fabrication, computer mapping, environmental remediation, geologic simulations, and economics related to energy and the environment. Students and professors will be on hand to discuss opportunities within each major and to give tours of laboratories and related facilities.
