Jane Goodall Visits Penn State April 16

University Park, Pa. -- Jane Goodall, famed anthropologist and founder of the Gombe Stream Research Centre for the study of chimpanzees, will deliver a multimedia presentation at Eisenhower Auditorium at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16.

Goodall has lectured throughout the world on her discoveries and the plight of chimpanzees and all animals. She began her observations of chimpanzee behavior in Tanzania, Africa in 1960. Today, Goodall's Gombe Stream Research Centre conducts year-round observations of the descendants of her original study group.

Goodall's presentation is co-sponsored by the Department of Anthropology and the Center for Women Students. Tickets are free and will be available in 225 HUB. For more information, contact Carol German in the Office of Student Activities at (814) 863-3786.
