University Of Sheffield Professor To Lecture On The Impacts Of Global Change

University Park, Pa. -- J. Philip Grime, a plant ecology expert from the University of Sheffield, will discuss "Models, Microcosms, and Field Manipulations: Forecasting the Impacts of Global Change" on Thursday, March 20, at 1:30 p.m. in 111 Wartik Laboratory at Penn State's University Park campus.

Grime is a University of Sheffield professor and director of the Natural Environment Research Council's Unit of Comparative Plant Ecology in the University's Department of Animal and Plant Sciences.

The lecture is sponsored by Penn State's Life Sciences Consortium; the Science, Technology & Society Program; the schools, departments, or other units of forest resources, ecology, agronomy, biology, entomology, genetics, horticulture, and plant physiology; and the research/training programs in plant stress and root biology.
