Two Hershey Ob-Gyns Named To Good Housekeeping's Best Doctors List
8-1-97
Hershey, Pa. -- Two physicians with the Penn State Geisinger Health System, The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, have been named to Good Housekeeping's list of "America's Best Doctors for Women," which appears in the August 1997 issue.
Both physicians, Joanna M. Cain, M.D., and Rodrigue Mortel, M.D., were listed for their expertise as cancer specialists in gynecologic oncology. Cain is director of obstetrics and gynecology for Penn State Geisinger and professor of obstetrics and gynecology with Penn State's College of Medicine. Mortel is associate dean and director of the Penn State Geisinger Cancer Center and professor of obstetrics and gynecology with the College of Medicine.
According to a news release by Good Housekeeping, "The 401 doctors were found by surveying more than 260 department chairs and section chiefs in obstetrics and gynecology at major medical centers across the country. To eliminate bias, the doctors were not allowed to recommend anyone at their own institutions."
