Arnelle To Speak At Penn State Forum Jan. 14

University Park, Pa. -- H. Jesse Arnelle, president of Penn State's Board of Trustees, will present "The Penn State Board: Culture, Tradition and Vision" at the Penn State Forum from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14. The Forum will be held in the HUB Ballroom.

Arnelle, who has served on Penn State's board since 1969, will discuss the governance of the University and the role of volunteer leadership in shaping its future and meeting the needs of its constituencies.

A 1955 graduate of Penn State in political science, Arnelle received his LL.B. from the Dickinson School of Law in 1962, following service as an Air Force officer. In 1995 he received an honorary doctor of laws degree from Dickinson. Arnelle recently retired as an attourney with Arnelle, Hastie, McGee, Willis and Greene, San Francisco, and is currently counsel to the North Carolina-based firm of Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge and Rice.

The Penn State Forum is a lunchtime speaker series sponsored by the Penn State Faculty Staff Club and the Penn State Bookstore. Tickets are $10 and include lunch. Tickets will be sold at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by the speech at noon.
