Diabetes Interactive Broadcast Scheduled For Oct. 30

University Park, Pa. -- Susan Rook of CNN's Talk Back Live will host the first National Diabetes Satellite Broadcast, "Diabetes: A Life of Balance, A Community of Support, A Program of Prevention, A Call to Action," from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30.

Developed especially for those who work with diabetes prevention and control programs, the broadcast will be shown in 301 Agricultural Administration Building on Penn State's University Park campus. It is open to the public. .

The live and interactive broadcast is presented by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention. The broadcast will highlight how improving the quality of diabetes care will reduce related complications. It will describe existing national, state and local activities that reduce the burden of diabetes, and will identify new opportunities for collaborative efforts to improve diabetes outcomes. .
