End
of semester evident at University Park
Classes
are over, finals are ending and the weather's ideal. That
means that students are out and about on the University Park
campus. Here are some scenes visible over the past few days:

As temperatures outside climbed into the mid-80s, classrooms
in Willard Building on the University Park campus became very
warm Wednesday, May 2. Because of this, Moses Ling, assistant
professor of architectural engineering, had his students move
their desks outside for their final exam in Architectural
Engineering 202 -- a class in thermal comfort.

Julie Clement, an undergraduate journalism student, and Renee
Bianucci, an undergraduate in health policy and administration,
took advantage of the nice weather on Thursday, May 3, to
study outdoors for their final exams.

Jody Forbes, lying down; Lauren Guinan, Steve Ott and Bradley
Hinton, all seniors in recreation and park management, found
a shady spot under a tree on the Old Main lawn Wednesday,
May 2, to study for their final in RPM 465, management in
recreation servcies.

Kerry Tatem, a senior in business management, brought Cooper,
a 9-week-old black Labrador Retriever, to the Old Main Lawn
Wednesday, May 2, for some fun. Tatem finished her finals
earlier in the day.

Joelle Sharisky, a senior in recreation and park management,
finished her finals in the morning and had some fun on the
Old Main lawn in the afternoon on May 2.

Ferris Joanis, a senior in mechanical engineering, had two
finals left on Wednesday, May 2, but took time out from his
studies to shoot some pool at The Corner Pocket in the HUB-Robeson
Center on the University Park campus.

Children from the Bennett Family Center on the University
Park campus didn't have any cares during finals week. They
and their care-giver played on the lawn behind the HUB-Robeson
Center on the University Park campus.
