April 25, 2002
The 10th annual Penn State Commission for Women's Take Our Daughters To Work Day was a big hit with participants on the University Park campus, as 190 mentors escorted 229 students to 39 different career sites Thursday.

Two of the students attending the event, Rachel Mountz and Christine Mehalick, took notes at their sites and wrote a report on their day. For their story, click here.

After the career site visits, participants gathered back at The Bryce Jordan Center for lunch. The mood was festive, and President Graham B. Spanier joined several clowns from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Circus to entertain the crowd. Here, Spanier amazes his volunteer from the crowd by turning torn tissue paper into a hat.
