Photographer Greg Grieco spent time at this year's Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, a 48-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping fundraising event that benefits The Four Diamonds Fund. Below are some of the images he captured.

President Graham B. Spanier gets a chance to look at John Carrano's thon jacket. Carano first brought his daughter to THON in 1995 but she passed on in 1996. This is Carano’s seventh trip to THON, because he said he believes in it and tries to give it as much support as possible.

Dancers support each other in the waning hours of the event.

Dancer Anne Cohen doesn't seem to be the least bit tired, even though she's been on her feet for nearly 48 hours.

Joel Roberson, guardian of Kencie of Williamsport, enjoys the festivities close to the end of THON.

Student volunteers were "canning" outside the gym in Rec Hall, continuing to collect donations throughout the event. Canning starts in the fall each year, with volunteers collecting money throughout the state to for THON. Money raised goes to the Four Diamonds Fund, which provides comprehensive care and monetary support for pediatric cancer patients and their families while continuing to foster innovative pediatric cancer research initiatives.

Dancers cheer the end of THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world.

The grand total, another record amount in excess of $3.6 million, brings the total raised for the Four Diamonds Fund in the 30 years of THON, to roughly $20 million.
