Quote of the Day: Fred Dedrick, executive director
of the Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board

"As the baby-boom generation moves into retirement and people get older, there will be a significant increase in demand for health care. It's hard to predict what type of health care will be needed, but everything our research indicates is that by 2015, we will have a significant crisis in health care if we don't bring in resources now. Within health care, we need as much as Penn State can provide us. I'm very interested in developing cooperative relationships with Penn State. We have some very serious challenges in workforce and economic development. There is an extraordinary amount of opportunity for collaboration and joint projects to help the commonwealth meet those challenges."
