Web 2007 Conference Presenter Guidelines

In an effort to better assist our presenters, the Web 2007 Committee will provide valuable guidelines and advice to help improve your experience when providing a session or tutorial at the conference or pre-conference.

The following information will outline some of the things you need to know as a prospective presenter at Web 2007:

  • All conference sessions on June 9 will be one hour in length.
  • Tutorial sessions on June 10 will be four hours in length. Both morning and afternoon tutorials will be offered.
  • All presenters are required to attend a 90 minute orientation session that will be held in mid-February in room 141 Computer Building. The orientation sessions will be scheduled over the lunch hour with lunch provided. The information to be discussed will include a more detailed list of presenter guidelines, presenter time line, session handout criteria, and an explanation of new improvements made this year in support of session presenters.
  • Presenters will provide session handouts in advance of the conference to be included in a new and improved conference schedule booklet, which the committee will publish. Guidelines for handouts will be covered in the orientation.
  • Panel presentations are limited to 4 speakers.
  • All persons listed as presenters must actively present during the session.
  • All presenters will be assigned a liaison to assist with presenter needs, answer questions, and announce the session at the conference.
  • Presenters' conference fees are waived for June 9; however you are responsible for the cost of any tutorials you attend unless you are the tutorial's presenter.

Thank you for your interest in presenting at Web 2008!

Sincerely,

The Web 2007 Conference Program Committee
