The Web 2008 Conference Program Committee invites poster session proposals for this year's Web conference! For additional details, please visit the Penn State Web Conference Web site. Poster sessions give those who might not be able to consider a formal presentation, or have time to prepare one, a way to share best practices and ideas they find useful. Poster session presenters create a poster of the information to be shared and provide a short overview of the session, followed by a more in-depth discussion with interested colleagues. Poster sessions are an excellent forum for sharing information about projects, ideas/concepts, applications, and information. Sessions may include information about research studies, an analysis of a practical problem-solving effort, or a description of an innovative program that may be of interest to Web professionals at Penn State. Submission Guidelines and DeadlineTo propose a poster session, please fill out and submit the form below. A list of poster session guidelines have been developed to assist presenters. The deadline for poster session proposals is April 7, 2008 (extended from March 28, 2008). Those who submit a proposal will be notified of their acceptance status sometime toward the end of April. Special note: No more than two presenters per poster are permitted. Only one person per poster will be "comped"" for the conference, should he/she choose to attend. The person to be comped should enter the IDCC as poster on the registration form.Inquiries may be directed to webproposals@psu.edu. |
