Richard
Dumm
Richard is
a 1978 graduate of Penn State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Administration, a major in Business Logistics. Richard has over twenty
years combined experience with Business Logistics, Computer Operations,
and Information Processing. His expertise is in E-commerce, EDI, Networking,
Information Management, Computer Operations, Transportation and Business
Logistics.
Richard currently
holds the position of E-commerce Project Manager for Penn State's Office
of Administrative Systems (OAS). He is responsible for developing
and maintaining the OAS E-commerce infrastructure which includes centralized
payment processing as well as E-commerce store development utilizing
the IBM WebSphere Suite of products.
In addition,
Richard developed and instructs the Penn State World Campus course,
IST6740, "Conducting Business on the Internet."
Richard has
also held the position of Manager, EDI Services, OMNIComp Corporation
( a division of Enron) where he managed the implementation of EDI between
Utility companies and the OmniComp customers.
As Director,
Retail Pricing at Fleming Food Companies, Richard was responsible for
the design, implementation and administration of an electronic Retail
Pricing Catalog for the divisions Convenience Store food distribution
center. Richard also participated as the Retail Pricing "Process Leader"
for an SAP implementation project at Fleming Foods.
Richard is
