How does an exploratory major work?
Starting in an undecided or exploratory major allows you to take courses in different fields while making progress toward your degree. You'll work with an academic adviser to explore majors that match your interests and career goals.
How long can I stay in an exploratory major?
You can be in undecided student status for up to four full-time semesters. If you're a part-time student, your adviser will help monitor your progress. Throughout this time, you’ll work closely with your adviser to determine the right time to transition into a major.
What kind of support will I get?
You’ll have a dedicated academic adviser to guide you through course selection, entrance-to-major requirements, and academic planning. Your adviser will also help you explore career options, connect with faculty, and find resources to support your success.
How do I declare a major?
