ABINGTON, Pa. — The Penn State Abington financial aid team is fully focused on helping students and families navigate college costs especially as federal student aid programs continue to evolve.
Through one-on-one financial aid counseling and their knowledge about the range of funding options, Danielle Discher, director of financial aid, and her colleagues are clarifying options for students so they earn a Penn State degree while living in Greater Philadelphia.
“College financing can feel complicated, but you shouldn’t assume a Penn State Abington education is out of reach,” she said. “Every situation is unique, and we work with students and their families to explain the process, review resources, and create a plan that helps make a degree as affordable as possible.”
Abington students have access to federal and state grants, scholarships, work-study opportunities and loan programs, along with support from Discher's team. They also help students and families understand recent changes to federal student aid programs and encourage them to complete the FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, as early as possible.
