UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Applications are being sought for the Administrative Fellows Program for 2021-22. The program offers Penn State faculty and staff the opportunity to work with senior University officers to gain insight pertaining to the challenges of leadership in the academic community. Applicants must hold full-time, standing positions or fixed-term positions with at least five years of service.

The program enables participants to strengthen their administrative talents and qualifications by working with a Penn State administrator in a mentoring relationship. Fellows increase their understanding of the contexts within which decisions are made and gain an enhanced understanding of the various units across the University.

Mentors for the 2021-22 academic year will be Nicholas Jones, executive vice president and provost; Lora Weiss, senior vice president for Research; and O. Richard Bundy, vice president for Development and Alumni Relations. The program begins in early August and ends the following July.

An informational meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 3 to 4 p.m., via Zoom. The meeting is for those interested in the program and is designed to allow past fellows to field questions from prospective fellows. If you are interested in attending, RSVP to Wendy Blumenthal on or before Monday, Nov. 9, by e-mail at wjy100@psu.edu.

More information about the program is available on the website for the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs at https://www.vpfa.psu.edu/administrative-fellows/.
