UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs has announced the 2023-24 Promotion and Tenure Workshop series for faculty on how to prepare for success in the promotion and tenure process. This series will provide an in-depth exploration of the promotion and tenure process for all Penn State faculty, including tenure- and non-tenure-line.
Workshops offered this semester include:
- "Administrator and Staff Engagement in the Tenure-Line and Non-Tenure-Line Promotion Reviews" — 10–11:30 a.m.Thursday, Sept. 14
- "Committee Chair and Committee Member Engagement in the Tenure-Line Promotion Review Process" — 3–4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 19
- "Preparing for Promotion and Tenure at Penn State for Pre-Tenured Faculty" — 10:30 a.m.–noon, Thursday, Sept. 28
- "Advancement and Promotion for Non-Tenure-Line Faculty" — 2–3 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 5
This series will be offered live via Penn State’s Zoom platform, and each session will be recorded for later viewing. Audience questions are highly encouraged. Registration is not required to attend.
