Aditi Khadilkar, a Penn State doctoral student in energy and mineral engineering, received the Outstanding Presentation Award at the sixth International Freiberg Conference on IGCC (integrated gasification combined cycle) & XtL Technologies.
XtL refers to synthetic liquid transportation fuels produced through specialized conversion processes.
Her paper, “Ash Agglomeration in Fluidized Bed Gasification Systems: Modeling and Experimental Studies,” was presented during the technical conference in Germany from May 19 to 22. Khadilkar’s adviser is Sarma Pisupati, associate professor of energy and mineral engineering.
