Eight Schreyer Scholars receive medals at Academic Achievement Awards ceremony

Eight members of the Penn State Berks graduating class received their Schreyer Honors Medals at the Academic Achievement Awards Ceremony held on Sunday, April 24. Awardees included Denise Castro, Tye A. Morales, Margaret M. Neiman, Chastity N. Paredes-Rodriguez, Brittney Romanowski, Launick Saint-Fort, Cassidy N. Schultz and Megan E. Timberman. Medals are awarded for completing all of the requirements of the Schreyer Honors College, including a capstone Honors thesis.

The Schreyer Honors College promotes academic excellence with integrity, the building of a global perspective, and creation of opportunities for leadership and civic engagement. Schreyer Honors Scholars, including Gateway Scholars admitted after their first or second year of enrollment, total more than 1,900 students at University Park and 20 Commonwealth campuses. They represent the top 2 percent of students at Penn State who excel academically and lead on campus.
