Engineering leadership development to hold new master’s information sessions

The engineering leadership development (ELD) and engineering entrepreneurship (E-SHIP) programs announce the new one-year master of engineering (M.Eng.) in engineering leadership and innovation management (ELIM) at Penn State.

Information sessions on the new program will be held from 12:05 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, and Thursday, April 7. The session will be in 202 Hammond Building on the University Park campus of Penn State. Lunch will be provided.

The sessions will include material on how the new program enhances technical degrees by teaching the global leadership skills required by the engineering industry. As a one-year nonthesis M.Eng. student, the engineering leadership and innovation management program will provide the expertise to lead cross-cultural teams, identify new business opportunities, manage projects and promote internal innovation. The program will require 30 credits and an innovation, leadership capstone experience.

Students interested in attending one of the sessions should email ENGRLeadership@engr.psu.edu to reserve a spot.

ELD is an academic program housed within the School of Engineering Design, Technology, and Professional Programs (SEDTAPP) at Penn State. The ELIM program benefits from faculty expertise in other SEDTAPP programs including engineering leadership, technology-based entrepreneurship, and engineering design.
