Faculty invited to virtual writing retreats in January

Sessions will be offered through the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence will hold three daylong virtual writing retreats for faculty from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 8, 14 and 22.

These retreats will largely provide for structured work time. Schreyer Institute coaches will be available for individual consultations on research design and writing. There also will be optional mini-sessions on topics related to teaching and learning scholarship.

The link to the registration page can be found here. Each daylong retreat will have the same design and faculty can sign up for one, two or three days. Seats are limited, so those wishing to participate are encouraged to sign up in advance. Sessions will be held via Zoom.

The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence is part of the Penn State Office of Undergraduate Education, the academic administrative unit that provides leadership and coordination for University-wide programs and initiatives in support of undergraduate teaching and learning at Penn State.
