UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — “Transitioning from Associate to Full in a Tenured Faculty Position,” the first workshop in the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs’ four-part Promotion and Tenure Workshop Series, will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, via Zoom.
The workshop, which is intended for tenured faculty, will discuss how tenured associate professors can prepare for the transition to full professor. Topics covered will include the nomination process; expectations for attainment of the rank of full professor; mid-career decision-making; varied experiences in teaching, research and service; and the review process, procedures and documentation.
