LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. — Jo Ann Jankoski, associate professor of Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, has won the 2018 University College Faculty Award for Service.

The award is presented annually by the University College Faculty Council (UCFC) to a full-time or part-time University College faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in service to Penn State and the faculty member's campus community.

Faculty, staff and students may nominate an eligible faculty member. Selection is made by the committee after review of a nominee’s curriculum vitae, personal statement, and three letters of recommendation.

Jankoski will receive a commemorative plaque and a stipend in the amount of $1,000.

Jankoski demonstrates a passion for helping students, this campus and her profession,” said Stacy Sekely, UCFC chair. (Sekely did not serve on the review committee.) “She has touched and improved the lives of so many, and she is well-deserving of this award.”

“There are so many faculty throughout the University College that are deserving of this award,” said Jankoski. “Each one of us wants to make a difference in our communities and throughout the world.”
