Liberal Arts Career Week allows students to network with alumni, employers

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Liberal Arts Career Week is a weeklong event designed to provide students with opportunities to develop professional skills and networking that will support their future career paths. Beginning Jan. 18, students in the College of the Liberal Arts are invited to participate in employer and alumni panels and workshops where they will learn the necessary skills to embark on their career journey and achieve success in their professional lives. Attending employers include Target, Vanguard, Liberty Mutual, Kohl’s, Deloitte, and PNC Bank.

The week will culminate with the event Career Exploration with Alumni, set for 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, at The Nittany Lion Inn. This event includes alumni panels featuring recent graduates and leaders in the private sector, nonprofit, and government. Attending alumni panelists come from a broad range of academic majors and work for organizations like the FBI, NCIS, ESPN, Voices of 9/11, Liberty Mutual, Bates White, LLP, and more.

All liberal arts students are invited to join the Liberal Arts Career Enrichment Network and take advantage of the events and networking opportunities throughout the week.
