UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — College of the Liberal Arts students seeking to gain a thorough understanding of post-graduation opportunities, hone professional skills, and network with employers should engage with Liberal Arts Career Week, set for Jan. 27 to 31 at University Park and hosted by the Career Enrichment Network. In its fourth year, Liberal Arts Career Week is bringing back top workshops, as well as incorporating new opportunities for eye-opening, useful and fun career development.

Some of this year’s workshop highlights include an interactive mock hiring committee experience; guidance on law school, grad school, and gap years; peer to peer career advice; and gaining networking and interviewing skills through interactive improv. led by Happy Valley Improv and the Department of Economics’ James Tierney. Students can get a leg up with LinkedIn through a Geico event on developing a professional brand, as well as free, walk-in professional headshots. Students also can meet, greet and eat with employers from Geico, Kohl’s, Teach for America and Deloitte, and network with liberal arts alumni over hors d’oeuvres.

Check out the full list of 2019 Liberal Arts Career Week events below or on the Liberal Arts Career Week website. In addition to Liberal Arts Career Week, the Liberal Arts Career Enrichment Network hosts a multitude of events throughout the year and has four career coaches available to meet with liberal arts students about internships, job searches, study abroad opportunities, and resume and cover letter reviews.
