UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Pia St. Pierre, of State College, has been named the fall 2020 student marshal for the College of Arts and Architecture. The daughter of Tanja St. Pierre and Brian St. Pierre, she will graduate with a bachelor of arts in music, with a minor in entrepreneurship and innovation focusing on arts entrepreneurship.

St. Pierre, who has spent her undergraduate career refining her skills as a classical guitarist, has served her fellow students as a peer adviser and academic peer mentor in the Division of Undergraduate Studies and an orientation leader for Student Orientation and Transition Programs. St. Pierre twice received the Music Activities Fund Scholarship and the Judy Frankel Silver and Gold Award. During her studies, she performed the Concerto for Lute in D Major by A. Vivaldi with the Penn State Baroque Ensemble, and participated in Mosaic, an annual concert spotlighting top student musicians.

Inspired by Student Affairs professionals she met while attending Penn State, St. Pierre plans to pursue a master’s degree and career in higher education student affairs.
