Nine Penn State Altoona students were inducted into Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) during a ceremony March 29 in the Edith Davis Eve Chapel at Penn State Altoona.With more than 550 active chapters throughout the world, KDP is the largest honor society dedicated to fostering excellence in education and promoting fellowship among leaders dedicated to teaching. Student members are carefully selected based on stringent expectations, high academic accomplishments, and promising leadership examples as prescribed in the KDP bylaws. Each year, only the top students are inducted into the honor society by earning a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above, being in sophomore standing or have earned at least 30 credits, and having completed or be in the process of completing 12 credits of specific education courses.
