UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Nominations are currently being accepted for the Eberly College of Science Dean’s Climate and Diversity Awards, recognizing individuals and programs for extraordinary commitment to enhancing an environment of mutual respect and diversity in the college of science.
The awards highlight undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, staff members and faculty members, as well as groups or programs within the college that are supportive and welcoming of everyone in the college community.
Although the nominees must be affiliated with the Eberly College of Science, nominators can be anyone from the larger campus community who has any interaction with the college of science.
The nomination process consists of an online form, allows for self nomination and does not require any input from the nominees. The application and award criteria are at http://science.psu.edu/climate/deans-climate-and-diversity-award.
The deadline for nominations is Nov. 1. One winner will be selected in each of three categories: students/postdocs, staff and faculty. In addition, all nominees will receive a certificate of appreciation from the dean of the college.
The awards presentation ceremony to honor the winners and nominees will take place at 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, on the bridge in the Life Sciences Building. All nominators are also encouraged to attend the ceremony. Everyone in the campus community is welcome.
