UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Language Institute is offering its courses remotely this summer. Students from all Penn State campuses are welcome to take a world language class, especially if the language they are interested in is not offered at their campus.
The available languages are Arabic, Chinese, German, French, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Russian, Spanish, and intermediate Swahili.
Most of the classes are open to undergraduate and graduate students as well as to academically motivated high school students. Courses are intensive and short, lasting from 2.5 to 4 weeks each. Beginner levels start on June 15. Partial scholarships may be available for some languages.
